FACTS: What Does SOVA Insurance Do With Your Personal Information?
Why? Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit some but not all sharing. Federal law also requires us to tell you how we collect, share, and protect your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand what we do.
What? The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:
  • Social Security number and income
  • Account balances and payment history
  • Credit history and credit scores
  • Driver’s license number and VIN number(s)
  • Property deed, mortgage statement, or property records
  • Insurance claim history and driving record
How? All financial companies need to share customers’ personal information to run their everyday business. In the section below, we list the reasons financial companies can share their customers’ personal information; the reasons SOVA Insurance chooses to share; and whether you can limit this sharing.

What We Do

How does SOVA Insurance protect my personal information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards, secured files and buildings, and restricted access to personal information on a need-to-know basis.
How does SOVA Insurance collect my personal information? We collect your personal information when you:
  • Apply for insurance coverage or request a quote
  • Submit contact forms or call us
  • Provide documents such as your driver’s license, VIN, deed, or proof of income
  • Visit our website (via cookies and analytics tools)
We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus and insurance carriers.
Why can’t I limit all sharing? Federal law gives you the right to limit only:
  • Sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes — information about your creditworthiness
  • Affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • Sharing for non-affiliates to market to you
State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

Definitions

Affiliates Companies related by common ownership or control. SOVA Insurance does not currently share with affiliates.
Non-affiliates Companies not related by common ownership or control, such as insurance carriers we work with to obtain quotes on your behalf. We share information with carriers solely to provide you with insurance quotes and bind coverage.
Joint marketing A formal agreement between non-affiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you. SOVA Insurance does not participate in joint marketing.

Your Right to Opt Out

SOVA Insurance does not share your information with non-affiliates for marketing purposes and does not participate in joint marketing agreements. There is currently no need to opt out of such sharing. If our practices change, we will notify you and provide opt-out instructions. State law disclosures: Florida and Oregon residents may have additional privacy rights under state law. Oregon residents have rights under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act (OCPA, effective July 1, 2024). Please see our full Privacy Policy for details.

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or any third party for their independent use.

Annual notice: We will provide this notice annually to customers with whom we have an ongoing relationship. If you received insurance services from us during the prior year, you are entitled to this notice.
